İstinye University (ISU) was founded in 2015 by Türkiye's largest healthcare chain, MLP Care (Medical Park and Liv Hospital) Group. It provides education in ultra-modern smart buildings in Vadi Istanbul and Topkapı campuses.
It provides direct clinical internship opportunities to its students in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Health Sciences programs in nearly 30 hospitals of the group. It also has leading R&D centers in the fields of artificial intelligence, software and data engineering.

Admission Requirements

Undergraduate and Associate Degree – General Conditions
- The high school average must be at least 70% for Medicine and Dentistry, and at least 50% for Pharmacy and other programs.
- Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy candidates must also have taken at least 1 semester of chemistry or biology courses.
- An international exam is not required from the candidate who meets the grade requirement. There are no country-specific tables; A single threshold applies.
- A high school diploma obtained abroad via distance education is not accepted. Passport entry and exit must cover at least 2/3 of the training period.
International Exams (Medicine-Dental-Pharmacy / Other)
- SAT: 1200 (Mathematics at least 600) / 1000
- ACT: 24 / 21
- IB: 30/28
- Matura: 2.5/5 / 3.5/5
- French Baccalaureate: 15/20 / 12/20
- Abitur: 2.5 / 3.5
- TR-YÖS: 75 / 60
- GCE: A-Level A in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths for Medicine; 2 A-Level D in other programmes.
Program Specific Conditions
- Civil Aviation Cabin Services: must not have a criminal record. Height should be 160–180 cm for women and 170–190 cm for men (with weight limit). An airworthy medical certificate is required and no visible tattoos.
- Aircraft Technology: must not have a criminal record; A medical board report is required.
English Programs – Language Requirement
- TOEFL iBT 75 (Home Edition accepted) or IELTS Academic 6.0.
- PTE 55, LanguageCert 60, CPE C, CAE B, Oxford Test 110, Linguaskill 150, e-TEP 75 or ISTEP 60.
- A score of 50 from the official Uzbekistan foreign language exam is also accepted.
- Documents are valid for 6 years. Candidates who graduate from a high school that provides 100% English education are exempt. Duolingo is not included in the current list.
Turkish Programs – Language Requirement
- B2 is required for undergraduate and C1 for postgraduate.
- Only TÖMER certificates of Boğaziçi, İstanbul, İTÜ, Marmara, Yıldız Teknik, Hacettepe, METU, Gazi, Ankara, Bursa Uludağ and Bursa Technical universities and Yunus Emre Institute certificates are accepted.
- Candidates who graduate from a MEB high school that provides 100% Turkish education are exempt.
Master's and PhD
- The undergraduate or graduate diploma grade must be at least 60%. ALES is not required from international students.
- In master's and doctorate programs with thesis, one of the above documents in English is mandatory, regardless of the program language.
- C1 Turkish is required in Turkish doctoral programs. A certificate of equivalence or recognition is required.
Age limit
- There is no age limit on the official pages of the university and the principles of YÖK.
Who Can Apply? (YÖK Principles)
- Foreign nationals who are in their final year of high school or have graduated from high school (provided that they did not study high school in Türkiye).
- Those who are Turkish citizens by birth and have permission to renounce citizenship and Blue Card holders (provided that they did not study high school in Türkiye or TRNC).
- Foreigners who subsequently acquired Turkish citizenship and dual nationals in this situation (with the same condition).
- Turkish citizens who studied their entire high school abroad (except TRNC); For these candidates, quota limits are applied in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Law and Teaching programs.
- Candidates who studied high school in Türkiye or TRNC cannot apply from abroad quota; They must take the YKS.
- Entrance exam results such as SAT, ACT and TR-YÖS are valid for 2 years; There is no time limit for high school graduation exams (Abitur, IB, GCE, Tawjihi, etc.).
