Işık University was established in 1996 with the aim of carrying the educational tradition of the well-established Feyziye Mektepleri Foundation, founded in 1885, to the university level. It offers its students a privileged university experience with its 500-acre Şile Main Campus and Maslak City Campus, surrounded by nature on the Black Sea coast.
Isik University provides English-based education in the faculties of Engineering, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Art and Design and Architecture; It is equipped with modern student dormitories, indoor and outdoor Olympic sports facilities and strong research centers.
