About the University

Bahçeşehir University (BAU) is one of the most distinguished foundation universities in Türkiye, founded in 1998 and providing education with the vision of "A World University in the Heart of Istanbul". BAU is located in the center of the city with its Beşiktaş, Galata, Göztepe and Kemerburgaz campuses; It provides its students with a worldwide vision through its collaboration networks in global locations such as the USA (Washington D.C.), Germany (Berlin) and England.

It has modern programs, especially in the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering and Natural Sciences, Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Communication and Law. Admission Requirements

Additional University Requirements

The following official documents and academic conditions are required for international students to apply to undergraduate and associate degree programs: • High School Diploma: Original high school graduation certificate and its notarized translation into Turkish or English. • Official Transcript: A certified transcript showing course grades and graduation average for all high school years. • Passport Photocopy: International travel passport with at least 1 year validity. • Language Proficiency Certificate: TOEFL IBT (min. 72-84) or university exemption exam for departments teaching in English; TÖMER B2/C1 certificate for Turkish departments (Students without a language certificate can attend a 1-year preparatory class at the university). • Equivalence Certificate: T.R. High school equivalence certificate obtained from the Ministry of National Education or Turkish Consulates (Can be submitted at the registration stage). • Biometric Photograph: 4 biometric passport size photographs taken in the last 6 months. Note: The high school GPA threshold may be kept higher in health faculties such as Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy.
