Istanbul Bilgi University is Türkiye's fourth foundation university, founded in 1996 with the principle of 'Learning for life, not for school'. It is at the center of the city's cultural life with its award-winning Santralistanbul Campus and Dolapdere/Kuştepe campuses, which were converted from a historical Ottoman power plant on the banks of the Golden Horn.
